The Moonbats Grim

MoveOn.org: "How Many More?" TV Ad

"Today, we received grim news: 2000 American soldiers have now died in Iraq."

They are as happy as little bitty clams now. The news was so very, very grim, that celebrations across the country were planned to commemorate the event.

Not sad news, mind you; not distrubing news either. Not bad news or upsetting news or a simple, war is hell and that sucks. No. The entire leftwing is parroting the GRIM NEWS, and were the news NOT upsetting, it would be funny as hell that not a one of these morons could think for themselves.

To the men and women who've given their lives to free a country, I salute you. To the families of each and every one of them, I share in your grief, and extend my heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your brave heroes.

Semper Fidelis. Let's win the thing and get home.

UPDATE: Michelle Malkin has posted this link on her site, and has asked that it be "passed around", so I had a look-see.

Well, the link opens to the poorly done webpage for WRAL News in North Carolina...I could barely read the text everything was so atop of everything else, but the sentiments are genuine, so have a click.

WRAL.com - AP National News - Military: 2,000 Dead An Artificial Mark

PS: As so many bloggers have pointed out, the death from hostile fire stands at approximately 1510. It's a bitch being around heavy things and flying things and things that can go boom for no apparent reason, so accidents take their toll. Am I saying that the mechanic who had a jack slip and dump a several ton truck on him would have died anyway were he stationed stateside? Of course not. War footing makes people's footing precarious, and you just don't see anywhere near the number of heart attacks and suicides and men and women falling asleep while operating machinery on peacetime stateside duty.
