What King Kong And Halo Have In Common...

'King Kong' Blurs Line Between Films and Games - New York Times

By LAURA M. HOLSON

I have absolutely no clue as to what the author of this piece means by blurring the lines...cartoons are cartoons, whether on the big screen, the TV screen, or as generated by a video game.

The article is poorly written but does offer a glimpse into video gamers who grew up to become big-budget movie directors and the challenge they undertake when helping to develop modern video games.

Well, in all honesty, most directors for such action-adventure-science fiction-fantasy movies have been directing cartoon characters for years, so transitioning to the video game platform has to be a relative snap since there are no grownups around to complain about the bad writing, acting and directing.
