Thousands of black men to help patrol violent city

This was on a to-do list and David Codrea beat me to it:

PHILADELPHIA — "A month after civic leaders and the police chief in this crime-plagued city called for 10,000 black men to patrol the streets, thousands arrived Sunday by foot, car, motorcycle, bus, in wheelchairs, with sons and nephews in tow."

Says David:

"How come when people who are not exclusively black do essentially the same thing along our southern border, that is, look for violations of law and report them to the authorities, they are branded as racists and vigilantes?"

Because music "mogul's", Al Sharptons, and Jesse Jacksons are better at manipulating the Jurassic Press when it comes to defining quality and/or legitimacy of effort.
