The Middle East Needs More Food

Women crowd outside a bread shop in a village outside Cairo. Food costs have risen sharply in Egypt in recent months, in line with rising global commodity prices.

If we EVER come to our senses, we could have as much oil as the Egyptians and at least we can grow lots and lots of wheat. The Egyptians cannot. Lotsa sand, you see. They might even demand that we grow MORE, and lower the price so that their soon to be starving people can survive. Sort of like what the democrats want the President to do regarding oil.

Good Lord but this world is more screwed than I ever imagined it could be.
