Electric "Cars" In London.

Calling them cars really isn't all that accurate. Automobile is better, I suppose. The pollution is location specific, somebody somewhere had to generate the electricity, and the batteries for these things are godsawful to make and store and become rid of once kaput.

And at an average 10,000 pounds a pop, they ain't cheap. Top speeds for these euro-mini's are 50 mph, and most of them can run for seven hours before needing a recharge. Of course they have no steel beams in the doors nor crumple zones nor air bags nor 5 mph bumpers nor roll-over resistance. Nearly doubling the weight to make 'em America-friendly defeats the whole purpose which is one of the reasons you won't see dead-ringers for them here.
