Michelle Malkin On Obo's Kiss Of Death

"The Hope and Change candidate has coasted on a cloud of moral superiority while his operatives have engaged in bare-knuckle smear tactics - dispatching lawyers to bully TV stations that air ads critical of his radical ties, raising the racism charge at every turn (not only against Republicans, but against rival Hillary Rodham Clinton) and deliberately distorting John McCain's words on Iraq to stoke fear and panic.

After basking in endlessly glowing profiles and watching the campaign press corps ogle and swoon at his feet for the last 19 months, Obama lashed out yesterday at his friends in the Obamedia for doing McCain's bidding: "They seize on an innocent remark, try to take it out of context, throw up an outrageous ad, because they know it's catnip for the news media."

It takes an expert catnip-waver to know one.

Whether he intended it or not, Obama's piggish remarks were irresistible catnip for his cult's malicious Palin-bashers. The uproarious reaction of the Lebanon, Va., crowd - who interpreted the joke as a Palin diss - spoke for itself.

On the same day Obama made the comments, Obama surrogate Rep. Russ Carnahan was attacking Palin's political career with this jibe: "There's no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick."

Team Obama dangled the toy. High-traffic liberal bloggers, like celebrity Web site operator Perez Hilton, pounced. Yesterday, Hilton gleefully published Obama's quote with a Photoshopped picture of Sarah Palin sporting a pig snout and smeared lipstick"

Okay so enough already with the lipstick'd pig deal. Obama, pronounced like Alabama because I don't speak Arabic, would've gone up a notch if he'd have admitted to having a little fun, been a man and taken his lumps, instead of whinging like a little girl about it. Cowardly frig can't even stand behind his own words.
